Ex-Westinghouse Worker Loses Latest Bid to Save Age Bias Claim

A former Westinghouse Electric Co. employee who was fired after the company’s bankruptcy reorganization was approved was properly barred from filing a late claim for age bias, a New York federal judge ruled.

The decision by the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, which affirmed a bankruptcy judge’s ruling, illustrates that a party can make a case dispositive mistake even on an issue of law that’s unsettled.
