Fed to Release Wall Street Bank Stress Test Results on June 24

The Federal Reserve said it will unveil the results of how big banks fared during its stress test on June 24 but emphasized the results will not impact capital requirements this year.

The health check-up — established in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis - aims to gauge how Wall Street lenders would fare under a hypothetical recession. The exam this year would assess how 32 big banks would withstand a severe global recession with heightened stress in both commercial and residential real estate markets, as well as in corporate debt markets, according to a statement.
