Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari nominated Muhammad Nami as the new chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service to replace Babatunde Fowler, whose tenure is coming to an end.
Buhari chose Nami, a tax consultant, along with other proposed members for the board of the federal tax agency, presidential spokesman Garba Shehu said Monday in an emailed statement. The nominations are subject to confirmation by the Senate.
