Bulgarian companies will have until June 30 to file corporate income tax returns for 2019 and to pay any tax due, under emergency tax measures approved Friday by the Bulgarian legislature.
The current corporate income tax deadline is March 31. The deadline for the preparation of annual financial statements will be extended until Sept. 30.
The changes were approved by the Bulgarian parliament as part of an emergency bill designed to counter the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Personal income tax returns—currently due by April 30—will get a two-month deadline extension.
Companies looking to benefit from a 5% discount for timely payment of their building and vehicle tax bills will be given three more months to pay.
