The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development will postpone most of its in-person public meetings, including a tax consultation scheduled for March 17, as a precautionary measure against the new coronavirus outbreak.
“In light of the rapidly evolving situation with Covid-19, a decision was taken by the OECD Secretary-General to cancel or postpone most in-person OECD meetings. This includes the public consultation meeting on the Review on Action 13,” according to a statement Monday.
- Meetings and events scheduled on the organization’s premises in the next six weeks will be postponed, canceled, or held virtually.
- The March 17 meeting was to focus on questions identified in the consultation document and in comments received on Action 13 of the OECD’s base erosion and profit shifting project, concerning country-by-country tax reporting.
