EU Tax Reform Resolutions to Address Wealth, Green Taxes

A pair of resolutions intended to shape the ongoing EU tax reform debate will be voted on by lawmakers before the European Parliament goes on summer break, the parliament’s tax subcommittee said Tuesday.

The first calls for a post-coronavirus adjustment of the tax mix in EU countries so that pollution, capital, and wealth are taxed more, and labor income less. It will come before the parliament’s influential Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee June 3.
