Germany Gazettes Law Extending 2019 Tax Deadlines Due to Coronavirus

The German Official Gazette Feb. 18 extended the 2019 tax deadlines due to the coronavirus pandemic. The extended deadlines are: 1) Aug. 31, 2021, from Feb. 28, 2021, for filing interest-free tax declarations; 2) Dec. 31, 2021, from July 31, 2021, for filing tax declarations; and 3) May 1, 2022, from Oct. 1, 2021, for the application of interest rates.
