The U.K. tax office will publish more details of individuals involved in aggressive tax avoidance as part of its commitment to increasing transparency.
Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs’ said Oct. 10 it will explore options to annually publish more information about how many people are involved in tax avoidance and their circumstances.
- The tax office said it is now looking at customers “who require extra support” during inquiries, after the U.K.'s Treasury Select Committee criticized it over its treatment of taxpayers.
