Liechtenstein Gazettes Laws Amending AEOI, CbC, FATCA Provisions

The Liechtenstein Official Gazette Dec. 23 published Law Nos. 354, 355, 359.131.2, amending laws on the automatic exchange of information (AEOI) in tax matters, country-by-country (CbC) reporting and the U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). The laws include measures: 1) specifying AEOI requirements for Liechtenstein legal entities, financial institutions, and their service providers, and requiring certain legal entities established by Dec. 31, 2024, to register with the Tax Administration by March 31, 2025; 2) requiring Liechtenstein-based substitute parent companies of parent companies based in Liechtenstein or abroad, to submit CbC reports to the Tax Administration; and 3) requiring Liechtenstein ...
