Lithuania Cabinet Approves Bill on Zero-Rated VAT on Specific Supplies Due to War

The Lithuanian Cabinet April 25 approved a draft amendment to reduce VAT rates on specific supplies due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. The bill includes measures that would: 1) reduce the VAT rate to zero percent on the purchase of specified goods and services by eligible support organizations for victims of war and disaster in Ukraine; and 2) exempt VAT on purchases by support organizations of specified goods services from EU member countries for provision free of charge to the Ukraine victims.
