The Russian Federal Tax Service June 4 announced a transport tax exemption for specified passenger vehicles. The announcement includes that: 1) the exemption applies to passenger vehicles purchased through the social security authorities with engine power up to 100 horsepower (hp), 73.55 kilowatts (kW), as well as to passenger vehicles of any engine power equipped for individuals with disabilities, 2) technical documentation is required to show that a vehicle was manufactured and converted for use by individuals with disabilities, and certified as intended for such use; 3) taxpayers can apply to the tax authorities for the exemption and must provide ...
