Saudi Arabia Tax Agency Announces VAT Return Filing Deadline for April 2026

The Saudi General Authority of Zakat and Tax May 20 announced the May 31 deadline for businesses subject to VAT with annual supplies of goods and services exceeding 40 million Saudi riyals (US$10.7 million) to file monthly VAT returns for April 2026. The announcement includes that: 1) taxpayers are encouraged to file through the Tax Agency’s website, or file and pay through the ZATCA smartphone application; and 2) the fine for filing late is 5 percent to 25 percent of the VAT required to be declared.
