Spain Seeks to Bring Tax Policies in Line With EU Norms

Spain will propose broad tax reforms to boost revenue and bring the country in line with its eurozone peers, Finance Minister Maria Jesus Montero said Monday.

The measures will aim to guarantee government revenue, allowing it to pay for social spending and tackle inequality, she said. Montero described the plan at an event in Madrid where she presented the committee that will draft the proposals.
