Spain’s plan to impose a 3 percent digital tax on companies such as Facebook Inc. and Amazon Inc. is on hold until after the country holds a general election April 28.
Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced Feb. 15 that the country will hold an early general election after lawmakers failed to approve the budget Feb. 13.
The tax proposal wasn’t included in the budget but it will be delayed, along with other pending laws, while the country votes for a new government
