Uganda Defers Tax Payments to Boost Liquidity for Companies

Ugandan businesses struggling to deal with the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic won’t be required to pay some taxes for up to six months, President Yoweri Museveni said.

The relief will “provide liquidity for private firms that have been affected by the Covid-19 lockdown,” Museveni said Thursday in a state-of-the-nation speech.
