U.K. Should Fear Further Drop in ‘Non-Doms,’ Tax Adviser Warns

The U.K. should be wary of a further decline in individuals claiming non-domiciled tax status, particularly as the country’s departure from the European Union looms.

The warning comes from Paul Haywood-Schiefer, a manager at Blick Rothenberg. “Non-doms and the tax they pay play an important role in this country’s finances,” he said in a July 31 statement. “It will be important for the Government to ensure that the UK remains an attractive place for overseas individuals to come to live, work and invest in the future, especially in light of Brexit.”
