Alaska Alcoholic Beverage Control Board Proposes Regulations to Adopt, Amend, Repeal Alcohol Permits Rules

The Alaska Alcoholic Beverage Control Board Sept. 23 proposed regulations to adopt, amend, and repeal rules related to alcohol permits for excise tax purposes. The proposal includes measures to: 1) repeal and readopt the permit provisions, which authorizes the holder to sell or dispense alcoholic beverages for a specific period of time at locations that aren’t a licensed premises, or aren’t the licensed premises of the permit holder; 2) define “banquet” or “dinner event” to mean a formal event where a multi-course meal is served to guests seated at tables; 3) repeal the caterer’s permit, as the relevant requirements are...
