Arizona DOR Amends Regulations on Electronic Filing Program for Income Tax Returns

The Arizona Department of Revenue Oct. 18 amended regulations on the electronic filing program for individual income, corporate income, and trust income tax purposes. The rules include measures: 1) striking the word individual from the rules on recordkeeping requirements and electronic signatures; 2) adding the word returns to the rule on electronic signatures, making the rule applicable to all income tax returns; 3) enabling corporate, S corporation, partnership, and fiduciary taxpayers to file their returns electronically; and 4) specifying that a taxpayer who doesn’t elect to sign his federal income tax return electronically shall not sign the state’s electronic income...
