Arizona DOR Announces Registration Under Remote Seller, Marketplace Facilitator Tax Laws Opens Sept. 9

The Arizona Department of Revenue (DOR) Sept. 9 announced open registration for remote sellers and marketplace facilitators under new tax laws. Out-of-sellers and market facilitators are required to pay the transaction privilege tax if their annual gross proceeds of sales into Arizona amounted to over $100,000 in the current or previous calendar year. The DOR provided important dates, including: 1) Oct. 1, when the new tax laws take effect for out-of-state sellers that meet the thresholds to begin collecting taxes; and 2) Nov. 1, when remote sellers and marketplace facilitators must begin filing and paying taxes for the October period....
