Arizona Tax Reform Bills Die As Virus Ends Legislative Session

Arizona tax-cut proposals that gained traction among lawmakers earlier this year failed to pass during an abbreviated legislative session as the coronavirus pandemic slashes state revenues.

The Arizona House of Representatives voted Thursday to adjourn after a brief return from a hiatus that started in March to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The state Senate moved to adjourn May 8, though legislative leadership left open the possibility of considering a few additional bills.
