The California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control Aug. 9 proposed regulations to implement provisions of the Responsible Beverage Service Training Program Act of 2017. The proposal includes measures to: 1) explain required curriculum standards for responsible beverage service training courses; 2) specify approval standards for accreditation agencies and training providers; 3) provide reporting requirements for the department on-premise licenses; 4) establish an online alcohol server certification system; and 5) provide enforcement standards and penalties for violations of the statutory provisions.
