California Gets First Challenge to Presidential Tax Return Law

A frequent candidate for multiple elective offices is the first to challenge California’s new law requiring presidential candidates to release five years of tax returns in order to appear on the state primary ballot.

The case was assigned July 31 to U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey T. Miller, who was nominated by former President Bill Clinton in 1997.
