The owner of an unlicensed marijuana business in Colorado admitted in federal court he didn’t pay more than $3 million in taxes owed to the federal government.
Andrew C. Poarch pleaded guilty to filing a false federal income tax return in connection with his highly lucrative marijuana business, the Lazy Lion, which was never registered as a recreational dispensary within the state of Colorado, according to a Feb. 20 statement by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado.
