Idaho State Liquor Division Adopts Temporary Regulation on Packaged Liquor Sales, Supplier Representative Permit Fees

The Idaho State Liquor Division July 21 adopted a temporary regulation on general operations of the division and the sale of liquor for excise tax purposes and rescinded a previous temporary rule. The adopted temporary regulation includes measures: 1) defining relevant terms; 2) prohibiting special distributors from delivering liquor off-premises without the explicit authorization of the chief executive officer of the division; 3) requiring supplier warranties to conform to requirements of the Tax and Trade Bureau of the U.S. Department of Treasury; and 4) charging the maximum fee of $50 to supplier representatives each year for an annual permit.
