Illinois DOR Publishes Informational Bulletin on Audit Fast Track Resolution Pilot Program

The Illinois Department of Revenue (DOR) Dec. 14 published an informational bulletin on the audit fast-track resolution pilot program for all corporate income taxpayers and tax professionals. The DOR created the fast-track resolution program to provide a forum for the prompt resolution of disputed audit issues. The fast-track resolution conference allows a taxpayer the option to settle or mediate issues prior to the issuance of a notice of proposed liability from the DOR’s audit bureau.
