Indiana Legislature Passes $1.1 Billion Stadium Incentive Bill

The Indiana Pacers and pro soccer squad Indy Eleven could receive up to $1.1 billion worth of tax incentives in a bill headed to Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb’s (R) desk.

The National Basketball Association Indiana Pacers could receive about $800 million in public support to keep their squad in Indianapolis, and the developers behind a Major League Soccer expansion team could receive up to $200 million in incentives for creating a new stadium, under Senate Bill 7. The Senate passed the bill April 23, and it cleared the House April 11.
