Kentucky could be the latest state to legalize sports gambling.
Rep. Adam Koenig (R) plans to introduce a sports betting bill in Kentucky’s next legislative session that starts Jan. 7. The bill could could bring in at least $20 million a year in tax revenue, he told Bloomberg Tax Nov. 22.
Neighboring Indiana legalized sports betting in September, which has brought in over $1 million in tax revenue in just a few months, according to Legal Sports Report, which tracks sports betting. Illinois, Tennessee, and West Virginia have already legalized it as well.
