Michigan Approves $20M in Tax Incentives for Switch Data Center

Switch Inc., the data center giant, could save up to $20.1 million annually in Michigan property taxes under a bill Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed into law Thursday.

The amount of the incentive granted under Senate Bill 455 depends on how much the company invests in its Grand Rapids project. The company’s property tax savings could range from several hundred thousand dollars per year to more than $20 million if it follows through on plans to expand its $100 million site into a $5 billion operation.
