The Michigan Department of Treasury issued an announcement allowing individuals and businesses in Baraga County, Allegan County, and the City of Lansing impacted by severe storms on May 25 to request filing and payment extensions for upcoming state tax deadlines, with penalties and interest waived. The relief will apply to deadlines such as the June 15 estimated payment deadline for individuals and the June 20 sales and use tax deadline but not to federal or city tax deadlines. [Mich.
