Minnesota Alleges Restaurant Used Zappers to Commit Tax Fraud

Minnesota is ramping up probes of sales tax fraud from electronic sales suppression systems, filing criminal complaints against the owners of a pair of popular sushi restaurants in suburban Minneapolis.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, together with the Minnesota Department of Revenue, filed complaints against Su Qian and Xu Sheng Wang, and their Raku Sushi and Lounge in St. Louis Park, Minn. and Raku in Edina, Minn., alleging 46 counts of tax fraud.
