The Missouri legislature on Friday gave final approval to a bill requiring remote sellers to collect use taxes on sales to Missouri buyers.
The bill (S.B. 153/97), means Missouri is one step away from becoming the last of the 45 sales tax states to assert its authority to tax e-commerce and other remote transactions since the 2018 South Dakota v. Wayfair decision. Florida enacted its own measure April 19.
