Montana Appeals Board Affirms Decision Upholding DOR’s Property Tax Valuation for Multifamily Residential Apartments (Decision 3 of 4)

The Montana Tax Appeal Board Aug. 13 affirmed the Rosebud County Tax Appeal Board’s decision upholding the Department of Revenue’s (DOR) property tax valuation of Taxpayer’s two rental apartment buildings. Taxpayer appealed the valuation directly to the county board, which upheld the DOR’s valuation. Taxpayer protested, contending that its property’s value should have been depreciated.
