NYC Property Tax Panel Sets Hearings to Air Recommended Changes

A panel weighing changes in New York City’s widely criticized property tax system will hold a series of public hearings starting next month.

The city Advisory Commission on Property Tax Reform announced the launch of hearings Friday, the day after a mid-level state appeals court dismissed a lawsuit by real estate interests and civil rights groups seeking to have the system declared unconstitutional.
