The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Oct. 1 published an arbitrator training manual for property tax purposes. The manual includes information on: 1) arbitrator duties; 2) a request for binding arbitration and necessary filing deadlines; 3) prohibited communications and confidentiality; 4) the arbitrator registry listing of qualified arbitrators and lists the initial qualification of persons to be arbitrators; and 5) arbitrator ethics.
