Washington Appeals Board Reduces Valuation of Taxpayer’s Remotely Located Residential Property

The Washington Board of Tax Appeals (BTA) March 28 reduced valuation of Taxpayer’s multilevel, single-family residence for property tax purposes. Taxpayer unsuccessfully appealed to the Pacific County Board of Equalization. However, the assessor revised and reduced the assessed value after inspecting the subject and neighboring properties. Taxpayer appealed, submitting five comparables and requesting a further reduction. The assessor also submitted five comparables.
