Arizona would give movie and TV production companies tax credits to film in the state through a bill lawmakers are sending to Gov. Doug Ducey (R).
The measure (H.B. 2156) would create tax credits ranging from 15% to 20% of qualified production costs, with additional credits when companies hire Arizona workers or use certain production facilities.
- The Arizona Commerce Authority could preapprove tax credits up to $75 million in 2023, scaling up to $125 million a year starting in 2025. Each film could receive up to $25 million.
