Ex-Banker Avoiding Cum-Ex Trial Calls Case Fundamentally Flawed

Former investment banker Paul Mora says he won’t travel to Germany to face tax evasion charges over Cum-Ex trades because the case against him has “fundamental flaws.”

Mora’s right to a fair trial had been violated on several occasions, his lawyers said in an e-mailed statement. The New Zealander strongly denies the allegations against him, they said.

Mora “has pointed out fundamental flaws in the allegations made by the prosecution and the procedure adopted in Germany on several occasions,” his lawyers said.
