A tax dispute between Facebook and the IRS that could leave the tech giant on the hook for billions of dollars in taxes has moved to remote proceedings due to Covid concerns, the US Tax Court said Tuesday.
The trial will recommence virtually at 9 a.m. on May 12, the Tax Court said in an order. The proceedings began in-person in San Francisco on May 5 but were suspended May 9 because of Covid risks.
