McKinsey Faces Tax Probe in France After Consultancy Report (2)

McKinsey & Co.is facing a probe in France following the publication of a Senate report that said the consultancy hasn’t paid any corporate taxes to the country in the last decade even while earning millions of euros on government projects.

French prosecutors said in a statement Wednesday that the probe will look into suspicions of aggravated laundering of tax-fraud proceeds.

The financial prosecutor’s office, the Parquet National Financier, said separately to Bloomberg that McKinsey is the sole target and the probe will focus on its tax status in France.
