G-20 May Get Unified Digital Tax Proposal in October

The OECD hopes to present a unified digital tax proposal to the Group of 20 in October after months of working to narrow down a set of different proposals from countries, the organization’s top tax official said.

“The OECD Secretariat now focuses on trying to build what could be a unified approach, and is currently consulting with the members,” Pascal Saint-Amans, director of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Center for Tax Policy and Administration, told Bloomberg Tax July 19. “This is work that could take some more time.”
