A key congressional committee has scheduled its first hearing with federal regulators on the failures of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank, the panel’s leaders said Friday night.
House Financial Services Chairman Patrick McHenry, a North Carolina Republican, and Maxine Waters of California, the committee’s top Democrat, said in a joint announcement that they were “committed to getting to the bottom of the failures,” and that the hearing on March 29 would be the first of many.
