Iberdrola to Keep Investing in UK as Windfall Tax Risk Swirls

Iberdrola SA underlined its commitment to keep investing in Britain, where the government is mulling new regulation to protect consumers from soaring energy costs.

The Spanish utility, one of the world’s biggest clean energy developers, is sticking for now to its pledge to invest £10 billion pounds ($13 billion) in the UK between 2020 and 2025 as part of a push to increase renewable energy capacity, Chief Executive Officer Ignacio Galan said Wednesday in a Bloomberg TV interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
