IRS Chief Counsel Michael Desmond urged taxpayers to tell the agency early on if they are interested in a pathway to resolve their case through an alternative to a trial at the U.S. Tax Court.
Desmond made the comments during a Thursday webcast hosted by the D.C. Bar on alternative dispute resolution in the Tax Court.
