New Hampshire Rejects Massachusetts’ Work-From-Home Tax Push

New Hampshire has no intention of complying with Massachusetts’ July 21 emergency rule seeking to tax income of its residents who are no longer commuting out of state due to Covid-19.

The Massachusetts Department of Revenue rule requires non-residents who previously commuted to the state for work to continue paying income taxes to Massachusetts even if they are working at home during the pandemic. New Hampshire has no state income tax.
