Senate Finance Republicans Demand Answers on IRS Funding Plans (1)

Republicans from the Senate Finance Committee demanded the IRS to spell out how it plans to use a $80 billion boost in funding.

The fourteen GOP lawmakers in a Thursday letter to IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig asked for answers on how the agency would improve technology and taxpayer services—including moving a backlog of tax returns and taxpayer correspondence and speeding up tax refunds.
