U.K. Paying £1B Subsidies to Biomass Power Stations: Lobby Group

The U.K. government is paying direct subsidies of more than GBP1b a year to wood-pellet-fired power stations and giving tax breaks of GBP333m to biomass generators, climate change lobby group Ember says.
