White House Reviewing Final Rules for Tax Preparer ID Fees

The White House review office is now studying final IRS rules on a fee change for paid tax return preparers obtaining or renewing mandatory ID numbers.

The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs review is typically the last step before the IRS releases guidance. The office began reviewing the guidance Monday, according to its website.
