A federal district court in Utah granted Anthem Blue Cross Life and Health Insurance Company’s partial motion to dismiss and DLA Piper LLP and the DLA Piper Welfare Benefit Plan’s motion to dismiss two of three causes of action, in an employee’s ERISA action challenging the denial of inpatient treatment for his minor daughter for mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse problems.
