International accounting firms are being pressured to drop some of their big Russian clients as sanctions over the invasion of Ukraine highlight their links to cronies of President Vladimir Putin.
The Big Four haven’t said that they are following the example of the slightly smaller Grant Thornton, whose Russian affiliate, FBK, has left the firm’s international network, the firm said Tuesday. FBK audits government-owned Gazprom, which the U.K. has banned from issuing debt or equity in the country.
