Europe’s ESG Reporting Rulemaker to Collaborate on ‘Social’

The body drafting European sustainability accounting rules said Wednesday that it was teaming up with an organization specializing in human rights to develop social reporting standards.

The EU’s accounting adviser, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group, or Efrag, said it had signed a formal agreement with Shift, a New York-based nonprofit. Shift advises companies on how to meet the UN’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
